Privacy Policy

Last updated 20 September 2026

This policy explains what personal data we process when you use this website and the monitoring service, why we process it, and what rights you have. The data controller is HORIZON PROBE, and you can reach us at support@horizonprobe.com.

1. What we collect

Details you give us when you buy: your name, email address and, if you choose to provide it, your phone number.

Account information: your password, stored only as a salted cryptographic hash, and records of sign-in and password-reset activity.

Transaction metadata: which plan you bought, when, the amount, and a reference from our payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card number.

Service data: the website addresses you ask us to monitor and the results of those checks, including availability, response times, incidents and SSL expiry dates.

Technical data: IP address, browser type and similar information contained in server logs.

Support communications: the content of messages you send us and our replies.

2. Why we process it, and on what legal basis

To provide the service you bought, including sending alerts and reports — performance of a contract with you.

To take payment and keep accounting records — performance of a contract and compliance with a legal obligation.

To answer your support messages — performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and diagnose faults — our legitimate interest in operating the service safely.

To measure how this website is used — only with your consent, given through the cookie banner, and withdrawable at any time.

3. Payment data

Card and payment details will be collected and processed by our payment providers, expected to be Stripe and PayPal, acting as independent controllers or as processors depending on the service.

We receive confirmation of payment and limited metadata such as the last digits of the card and a transaction reference. We never see or store your full card number or security code.

Our payment providers process your card details under their own privacy policies and as independent controllers. We recommend reading those policies before completing a purchase.

4. Who we share data with

Service providers who help us operate: hosting, email delivery, payment processing and error monitoring. Each acts on our instructions under a contract.

Authorities or advisers, where we are legally required to disclose information or need to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising.

5. How long we keep it

Account and monitoring data: for as long as your account exists, and for a limited period afterwards so you can return without losing your history.

Transaction and accounting records: for the period required by applicable tax and company law.

Server logs: a short retention period appropriate to security and troubleshooting.

Support messages: for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up.

Where tax or accounting law requires transaction records to be kept for a minimum period, we retain those records for that period and delete them once it expires.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on an adequacy decision or on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

You can ask us which safeguard applies to a specific provider by writing to support@horizonprobe.com.

7. Your rights

Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on our legitimate interests.

Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing carried out beforehand.

To exercise these rights, email support@horizonprobe.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls and regular updates.

No online service can be completely secure, but we take this seriously and will tell you and the relevant authority about a personal data breach where the law requires it.

9. Children

The service is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

10. Changes and contact

If we make a material change to this policy we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, tell you by email.
